Services

We have services at 6:30, 8:00, and 10:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings, with the 10:00 a.m. being our family Eucharist and principal celebration of the day. During the week we have a healing service on Wednesdays at 12:10 pm. We have a progressive liturgical and worship structure at Bethesda which tries to look ahead while not discarding the riches of the past, nor losing a sensitivity to our parishioners and their spiritual expectations. You may find us doing unfamiliar things for a while, but Fr. Parke is sure that, in time, you will feel comfortable with the worship at Bethesda.

If you would like to receive our weekly service sheets in the mail, please fill out the service sheet request form or contact Katrina Keech in our office at (518)584-5980. Please specify if you would like our large print service sheets.

Order Sermons
For those of you who cannot make it to our services in person, we have sermons available on tapes and CD's. If you would like us to send these to you, please fill out the online request form or contact our office at (518)584-5980. A small donation would be greatly appreciated to help offset the cost of production and postage.

Nursery
On the first floor of the Parish House we have a nursery providing care from birth to 4 years old. No exceptions. The hours of the nursery are from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Baptisms
The sacrament of Baptism takes place three or four times a year during our 10:00 a.m. Eucharist; all are welcome. Please call our office at (518) 584-5980 for dates and forms to fill out. If you prefer to have a private Baptism, please contact our office for more details.

Weddings
Bethesda is ready to be the place where the most important Vows of your life will be made. We do this according to the Vows of the Episcopal Church, the Diocese of Albany, and the practice of the Rector and Parish of Bethesda.

Burials
Funeral Home Directors work directly with Fr. Parke to arrange funerals and burials. If you have a loved one you wish to have services for at Bethesda, you may have your funeral director make arrangements with Fr. Parke directly or you may wish to notify Fr. Parke at the parish office (518) 584-5980.

Hearing Impaired
Although we are wired throughout the church for sound, we also offer hand held units for the hearing impaired. Please ask an usher standing in the rear of the church if you would like to try out one of these devices.

Disabled Access
Thanks to donations given to our Building Fund, Bethesda is handicap accessible. There is a wheelchair lift located in the main side entrance to our church. Please have someone notify an usher if you need help operating the lift.

Air Conditioning
Another use of our building fund has been the addition of air conditioning to our church.
